Consultant Haematologist

Dr. Mark Robinson, BMBS FRCPath FRCP

Mark is a consultant haematologist working at the Royal Cornwall Hospital helping patients with general haematological conditions as well as malignant/oncological haematological conditions, Mark has worked as a consultant in the NHS since 2016, and moved to Cornwall in 2024 after working for five years at Addenbrookes University Hospital in Cambridge. Prior to that he worked in Bath and York as a consultant haematologist.

Mark graduated from Peninsula Medical School in 2007 (as it was then, now is Exeter and Plymouth Universities) and started his junior doctor years at Plymouth and Bath and then completed his most of registrar training in the East, at Cambridge and Norwich.

Mark also works for the University of Cambridge as an examiner in Pathology at the Medical School, and as an examiner at the Royal College of Pathology.

Mark is a fellow of both the Royal College of Physicians and the Royal College of Pathologists, and is a member of:

  • Medical Defence Union (MDU)

  • General Medical Council

  • British Society for Haematology

  • European Hematology Association

  • International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis

Mark contributes to research papers, clinical trials, and medico-legal reporting.
